How it is measured, protected and, if needed, ended.

The section a serious operator reads first, and the section a client's auditor will ask you to produce. Stated before signature rather than discovered afterwards.

Note 01 · Quality

The scorecard, and what it decides.

ComponentWeightMeasured by
Control integrity25%Control register — blocks, attempts, alerts, and any breach
Accuracy at review25%Weekly QC sample of 200 items, weighted to coding and reconciliation
SLA adherence by cycle20%Ledger telemetry, including close calendar dates
Review queue discipline15%Queue ageing and same-day clearance
Client-reported issues10%Issues raised by the client in the month
Governance compliance5%Review-call attendance, remediation closure
Composite score10085+ holds your band · 90+ earns incentive

Below 85 for two consecutive months triggers a written remediation plan with a 30-day window. Below 85 for four consecutive months allows Akontec to reduce allocation. The score is shared in full each month with the underlying sample.

Control incidents are not scored, they are reported

A duplicate invoice released for payment, a bank detail amended outside dual verification, or a journal posted without approval is a control incident rather than a quality miss. It is reported to the client the same day with a written account, it does not wait for the monthly scorecard, and repeated occurrence allows Akontec to withdraw allocation without the remediation window that applies to every other measure.

We would rather lose a partner than explain a control failure to a client's auditor twice.

Note 02 · Data

Where the data sits and who can reach it.

Your desk is your own private working environment on its own VPS server, with client financial data contracted to stay inside it.

  • Data is processed only for the allocated clients and only for the contracted purpose
  • Client system access is provisioned into the desk, not shared as credentials in a document
  • Bank account fields are read-only to every agent and write-protected behind dual verification
  • Role-based access in the ledger; every action attributed to a named account
  • Every desk action logged with its inputs, append-only, retained 24 months
  • The control register is retained in full and is producible as audit evidence
  • Personal data in expense claims and payroll interfaces is minimised and access-restricted
  • On exit, desk data is exported to you and the client, then purged on the agreed date

Business continuity

Desk backed up daily with a defined restore target. Platform-side incidents carry a 24-hour resumption target and a written cause report, shortened during close weeks. On a partner-side outage beyond 48 hours, allocation may be served elsewhere and returned on recovery.

Audit evidence

The trail is append-only and cannot be edited or deleted from the ledger by any role. The control narrative written at implementation, the weekly QC samples, overrule reasons and the control register are producible on request — which is what a client's auditor will actually ask you for.

Exit

Initial term 12 months, then 60 days' written notice either side. Wind-down is scheduled around close, never through one. Final income settles against the last verified month at the statement-date rate. Data is exported to you and the client, then purged.

What we will not promise

  • A guaranteed, assured or fixed monthly return of any kind
  • That allocated volume will not vary, or that a client will not bring finance back in-house
  • That the desk will never make an error, or that accuracy will hold at any particular level
  • That the USD/INR rate on settlement will match the planning basis on this site
  • That your first close will be comfortable — it will not be
  • Any accounting, tax or audit opinion. We prepare; qualified people attest
  • That this file suits every BPO service provider — it does not, and prerequisites says why

Bring the person who would own the approval matrix.

Assurance is the part worth interrogating before signature. We would rather answer it on a call than have it discovered in month three.
